In business and life, being intentional with your choices is key to success. Simply wishing for things to happen isn’t enough—you need a clear plan and consistent action. One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in running my business is that goals don’t achieve themselves. You have to make deliberate choices and take daily steps toward those goals. Here’s how I stay intentional and productive every day.

Daily Goal Setting: Writing It Down

I made a conscious choice to write down my daily goals because I realized that without a written plan, it’s too easy to forget or overlook tasks. By writing down what I want to accomplish each day, I create a roadmap for success. If you don’t write down your goals, it’s like aiming at nothing—you won’t hit a target that doesn’t exist.

I use a Hobonichi Planner for Weekly and Daily Planning

To stay organized and intentional, I use a Hobonichi Weeks at a Glance Planner. This planner has two key sections:

    • Left Page: It includes the days of the week, where I write down tasks and appointments for each day.

    • Right Page: A blank space for notes, where I jot down important reminders, thoughts, or plans.

At the top of the right-hand page, I always write my top three priorities for the week. These are the three major goals I want to accomplish during the week. By identifying these priorities, I ensure that I’m always working toward something meaningful and measurable.

Daily To-Do Lists: Staying on Track

Before each day starts, I put together a detailed to-do list of tasks I must accomplish. This simple habit allows me to stay focused and productive every single day. Checking off completed tasks gives me a sense of progress and keeps me motivated to keep going.

    Why This Works

This method of planning and goal-setting works because it transforms vague wishes into actionable steps. Instead of hoping to accomplish something, you’re intentionally working toward it, one task at a time. Writing down your goals and to-dos also helps keep you accountable—there’s something powerful about seeing your goals in writing.

    Final Thoughts

Being intentional with your choices means making a commitment to your goals and following through with a plan. Whether you’re running a business, pursuing personal growth, or just trying to be more productive, writing down your goals and daily tasks is a game changer. Don’t leave your success up to chance—make deliberate choices, set clear priorities, and take intentional action every day.

If you haven’t already, try writing down your goals and daily tasks for a week. You might be surprised at how much more focused and productive you become! If this has helped you in any way message me and tell me!
